Aero-Heli was founded in 2008 by Michael McGlone and Dermot Fahy. The company started off as a small operation with one Robinson R22 and one Robinson R44. In order to meet the demands of the growing market, our fleet has grown to two Robinson R22’s, two Robinson R44’s and an AS350 B3 (Single squirrel). Aero-Heli has also got experience operating various types of helicopters such as Schweizer 300, Hughes 500, EC-120, B206, B407 and SA341G mainly for training purposes.
Based in Newtownards, Aero-Heli is situated in a prime location to serve not only Northern Ireland, but mainland UK and the republic of Ireland. We have also carried out work in Kangerlassuaq, Greenland, which involved passenger transport, aerial filming, research surveying and load lifting to and from the Ice-caps.
In late 2010 Aero-Heli invested heavily into the Airfield at Newtownards investing around £400,000, aquiring new aircraft, building a new hangar and renovating our office space into state of the art premises, which includes class rooms for our students along with investing in new computer servers, hardware and software systems to manage our customers and resources to their maximum potential and linking us to our other offices around the country .
Aero-Heli is continuously growing and seeks to further develop its client base and market share in the aviation industry over the next three years. We aim to do this by breaking further into the Uk and Irish Republic markets.
